The best ice cream. They sometimes run out of flavors, so get there early. Just a note, it's a cash only business. It's right downtown and plenty of parking in back.

CHOCOLATE LACE AND CREAM. I have literally driven hours out of my way to get a scoop of Chocolate Lace and Cream. This is definitely one of the best Ice Creams in the US. In my opinion, if you love ice cream you should not miss the opportunity to visit.

I actually didn't get to go but next time in Bethel will definitely go there and all the cute shops. Love this quaint town.

I just moved to Bethel recently and tried this place last night - the ice cream was amazing and so was the whipped cream (they make it in house). Try the heath bar ice cream, it was delicious. They only take cash, but there is a bank right across the street.

Great ice cream. I have been going here for over 30 years. The dark chocolate is very rich and delicious. It is worth the wait as it can get quite busy in the summertime.

Living in New Fairfield back in 1995 this was where I took my girlfriend for our 2nd date on the back of my old motorcycle. We've been together ever since.

Absolutely delicious fresh made ice- cream very very creamy. Only a few selected choices though. The scoops are tremendous....I always visit here when visiting family in Conn.😀

A tradition in Bethel, with top-notch ice cream in a tiny cramped counter front that gets a line out the front door in summer, but definitely worth the wait. My fav? Chocolate lace. You can also get a malted shake or a couple other options. It's been around for decades for good reason and is a must if you've never been there, so grab a cone and a picnic bench outside and enjoy.

My favorite ice cream ever. Grew up eating creamery style ice creams from many different places but my favorite one since childhood has always been Dr. Mikes. It’s been over 20 years and the quality has remained consistent. The only thing that has changed is the introduction of unique flavors, which I still get so excited about. If you’re looking for gourmet type ice cream, this is it! Once you have Dr. Mikes regularly and not just for special occasions, you become spoiled and only crave Dr. Mikes =) l literally buy whatever flavors I want in quarts and leave them in the freezer. There’s nothing that a scoop of Chocolate Lace can’t fix for me!

Boasting a higher butterfat content than most others in the state, Dr. Mike’s is the Rolls Royce of Connecticut ice creams. This small shop (just a few blocks from the renowned Sycamore Drive-In) has been churning out very small batches of a handful of flavors for over 30 years. Note that this is über-premium ice cream and may be considered for special occasions, since one’s tastebuds would be completely vanquished by daily doses of Dr. Mike’s.

Downtown Bethel ice cream shop has been around for a long time. Yes it is small and the flavors limited, but the scoops are generous and ice cream is very good.

Probably my all time favorite ice cream. I dont go often because I live about an hour away so I don't go often. Think about that though, it's an hour away and I'll still go. Its not far off from the Dambury mall so as an LL Bean fan I can make an excuse to go there and get some ice cream on the way as well.

They have a rotating menu of good flavor options but their chocolate lace flavor is year-round and probably the best ice cream I've had to date.

Very nice quality and interesting daily flavors.

The guy was really nice, friendly and courteous. Actually knows what he's doing. Taught me some stuff about how they make their ice cream. Provided samples. Prices are better than any others in the area. Not even 8 bucks for two pretty large scoops and fudge.Peanut Butter Oreo is delicious and one of the best. The Rich Chocolate is super rich and the hot fudge is thick and creamy.

Been coming to Dr Mike's for so many years. Every time we come back to the area we try to make at least one stop here before we leave. Everything is great especially with the hot fudge!
